Everyone knows E.ON provide energy. But they were launching a home installation service, providing things like boilers, insulation and solar power. To compete with big players like British Gas and cheap options like white van men, we needed a unique strategy to hit our target of 60,000 leads.

The solution

The marketplace is flooded with rational, price-led and frankly boring communications aimed at people with broken boilers. In reality, people don’t buy boilers; they buy warm cosy homes. Plus, our research uncovered that, actually, the market is much bigger than distress purchases. So we combined this insight with an emotional, consumer-led campaign that addressed the distress, consideration, home-mover and landlord segments.

The results

Our snazzy new EIS site has achieved 50% more page views per user, an 168% increase in sessions generating leads, and a whopping 931% higher average weekly lead generation.
